Advancing African-Led Research

ACTA seeks to invest in and support the development of locally relevant, evidence-based solutions for sustainable development and climate resilience. By advancing African-led research, we will contribute to the generation of knowledge that is tailored to Africa’s unique environmental, economic and social contexts.

Building Popular Support

We believe that lasting systemic change requires a deep and broad base of public support particularly from communities that are most affected by socio-economic inequality and climate marginalisation. We work to democratise climate discourse and ensure that the call for a just transition is rooted in the aspirations and lived realities of African people.

Fostering Thought Leadership on Economic and Climate Justice

ACTA aims to establish Africa as a global leader in economic and climate justice. By promoting thought leadership and engaging in advocacy on regional and global platforms, ACTA will position Africa at the forefront of the global conversation on climate change and economic justice.
